Our board-certified orthopedic surgeons provide extraordinary medical care for you and your family. They believe in a team approach and will coordinate with your primary care doctor and physical therapists to help you recover. Our surgeons use advanced medical technology to treat a variety of injuries to bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and related tissues. The team also offers expertise in sports medicine to help patients maximize function and minimize disability and time away from athletics, work or school.
Anthony Berni, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who sees patients 13 years and older. He treats conditions including hip and knee pain, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, thumb pain and knee sports injuries. Dr. Berni performs minimally invasive surgery using the SuperPath® technique, a muscle-sparing technique for faster recovery. He also performs partial and total knee replacement surgeries and minimally invasive hand surgeries, such as endoscopic carpal tunnel release. Dr. Berni is a patient-focused doctor who involves patients in their care decisions. He offers nonsurgical and surgical treatment options and is dedicated to learning new technology and advanced treatments for his patients. Dr. Berni has raised a family in St. Charles, where he has practiced orthopedic medicine since 1998. When he isn’t caring for patients, he enjoys cooking, playing ice hockey and skiing with his family.
Christine Piper, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow conditions. She treats adolescents and adults ages 13 years and older. She treats various conditions, including but not limited to shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, frozen shoulder, acute fractures, nerve entrapment and tendinitis. She performs arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilization surgery, cubital and carpal tunnel releases, total shoulder replacements and fracture repair. Dr. Piper prioritizes spending time listening to her patients to understand their concerns so she can provide them with treatment plans that address their unique needs. She cares deeply for her patients and strives to improve their quality of life. Dr. Piper is originally from O’Fallon, Missouri, and she is proud to be caring for patients in her hometown. The youngest of seven children, she was raised in values deeply rooted in faith and family. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing the drums and baking.
Robert Sciortino, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who sees patients 18 years and older. He treats hip, knee and shoulder conditions, including arthritis, bursitis, hip and knee pain, joint injuries and shoulder disorders. He offers nonsurgical options, but if surgery is necessary, he specializes in total joint replacement of the knee and hip, reverse shoulder replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, shoulder arthroscopy and rotator cuff repair. Dr. Sciortino also performs minimally invasive hip replacement surgery using the muscle-sparing technique SuperPath® for faster patient recovery. Dr. Sciortino believes in treating every person with compassion and prioritizes his patients’ well-being. He believes in educating his patients of their treatment options and taking the time to listen to concerns and answer questions. Dr. Sciortino is consistently recognized on the Castle Connolly Top Doctors list in St. Louis. Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Sciortino has been practicing medicine since 1992. When he isn’t caring for patients, he enjoys scuba diving, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Kevin Quigley, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician who sees patients 5 years and older. He specializes in knee, hip and shoulder pain and disorders, arthritis, sports and traumatic injuries, fracture management, rotator cuff tears and shoulder labral (SLAP) tears. He performs minimally invasive joint preservation techniques, joint replacement and total joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee, arthroscopic management of shoulder and knee disorders, internal fixation and reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Quigley believes it is important to provide patients with options so they can make informed decisions regarding the care of their joints. He believes surgery is a last resort for when other less invasive or nonsurgical techniques are not providing relief for patients’ chronic pain, or their condition significantly impacts their quality of life. Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Quigley enjoys spending time with his family and following his favorite soccer teams. While attending Saint Louis University (SLU), he was selected as a men’s soccer All-American and captain of the 1997 SLU Final Four men’s soccer team. He is also a former professional soccer player. Dr. Quigley is consistently recognized on the Castle Connolly Top Doctors list in St. Louis.
Nicholas Wilson, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who sees patients 6 years and older. He specializes in total hip and knee replacement, reconstruction and revisions, meniscus tears, ankle and wrist fractures, carpal tunnel and trigger finger. He has also conducted extensive research on total knee arthroplasty pain control. Dr. Wilson listens to his patients, working to understand their goals, and offers advice on nonsurgical and surgical treatment options. He understands that living with debilitating joint pain can impact quality of life, and his goal is to bring patients relief. He wants his patients to enjoy life activities such as playing with grandkids, walking their dog or going to a St. Louis Cardinals game. Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family, exploring local parks, visiting the Saint Louis Zoo and watching his kids play sports.
